Is a Rehearsal Dinner Worth It?

In my opinion, yes—it’s absolutely worth doing a rehearsal dinner.

Wedding days tend to move quickly and are packed with moments, conversations, and events. Because of that, couples often realize they didn’t get as much time as they hoped to truly connect with some of the people who mean the most to them.

A rehearsal dinner creates a relaxed opportunity to spend time with your closest friends and family before the big day.

It can also be a great place to include moments that might not fit into the wedding reception itself. For example, if multiple people want to give a toast but there isn’t time during the reception, the rehearsal dinner can be a perfect setting for those speeches.

Most importantly, it gives you another chance to celebrate the people around you and soak in the excitement of the wedding weekend.

After all, the wedding day itself goes by quickly—so extending the celebration even just a little can make the entire experience feel even more special.
