What Do Couples Regret Not Planning?

If I had to name one thing couples regret not planning, I’d honestly say it might be two things.

The first is intentional time alone together.

Wedding days move fast. Really fast. And one of the things couples often don’t realize until it’s over is how little time they actually had to just be together and soak it all in.

That’s why I think having even a small pocket of private time built into the day can be incredibly meaningful. It gives you a chance to slow down, breathe, and actually experience what’s happening together instead of just moving from one moment to the next.

The second thing couples often regret is not having video.

Photos are powerful, and they preserve so much of the day beautifully. But video captures things in a different way — movement, sound, emotion, reactions, and little moments that still images can’t fully recreate.

This is one of the things couples most often realize after the wedding, because once the day is over, there’s no going back to add it later. If having those moments preserved in motion matters to you, it’s worth seriously considering during the planning process.

The biggest regrets usually come down to the things couples assumed they wouldn’t miss — until the day was over.
