Is Ten Hours Of Coverage Overkill?

For most weddings, 10 hours of wedding photography coverage is not overkill at all.

In fact, for a lot of couples, it is exactly what makes the most sense.

Ten hours is usually enough time to document the day from beginning to end without constantly having to ask what needs to be cut out of the timeline. If your priority is making sure the full story is captured, that extra time can make a huge difference.

This becomes even more important if your day includes travel, multiple locations, or a timeline that has a lot of moving parts.

Eight hours can be enough for some weddings, but once you get into that range, there is often at least one part of the day that becomes a compromise. Maybe it’s the very beginning of prep, maybe it’s later reception coverage, or maybe it’s simply not having enough cushion built in if the day runs behind.

That’s why so many of my couples choose ten hours. It gives them peace of mind that we are not rushing, not cutting corners, and not missing important moments.

If you want your day covered in a way that feels complete and relaxed, ten hours is usually a really solid choice.
