Should You Plan Your Timeline Around Sunset?

Not entirely — but you should absolutely take sunset time into consideration.

Sunset affects how much daylight you have for portraits, family photos, and any other outdoor moments you want captured. If you wait too long to schedule certain parts of the day, you may end up feeling rushed trying to fit everything in before it gets dark.

That is why sunset should be one of the first things you check when planning your wedding timeline. A quick search for the sunset time on your actual wedding date can give you a much better sense of how to structure the day.

This matters even more if you care about sunset portraits. If stepping out for a few minutes during that part of the evening is important to you, your timeline should leave room for it.

So while sunset should not control the entire day, it should definitely be one of the things you plan around.
