Are Sunset Photos Worth Leaving Cocktail Hour?
Many couples wonder if it’s worth stepping away from cocktail hour for sunset photos.
In most cases, I would say yes.
Sunset light can create some of the most unique and beautiful portraits of the entire day. And the good news is that it usually only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to step outside and capture those images.
For a lot of couples, this short break is actually a really nice moment. Wedding days move quickly, and there are very few opportunities where it’s just the two of you. Sneaking away briefly during sunset can give you a quiet moment together while also creating some incredible photos.
If the timing works with the reception schedule, it’s almost always worth stepping out for a few minutes.
And don’t worry — I promise to make it quick so you can get right back to celebrating.
