How Much Wedding Photography Coverage Do You Really Need?
When couples start planning their wedding photography, one of the biggest questions is simple…
how much time is actually enough to capture the day without feeling rushed?
The truth is, the right amount of photography coverage is not just a number in a package. It is about making sure every moment that matters to you is protected, without the day ever feeling hurried.
For most weddings, I build the timeline in simple 30-minute blocks, starting from the ceremony and working backward. This usually creates just enough cushion if something runs a little late, while still keeping the day calm and on track.
That final 30 minutes before the ceremony is not there for cameras or setup. It is there for you — a quiet moment to breathe, look around, and truly feel what is about to happen before you walk down the aisle.
One thing that is really important to me is flexibility. If, during our final meeting about a month before the wedding, you realize you want a little more coverage, we can always adjust. Even on the dance floor at the end of the night, before I pack anything away, I always check in one last time just to make sure there is not a final photo or moment you do not want to miss.
At the end of the day, this is not really about hours. It is about making sure the memories that matter most to you are truly there to keep.
